Rain to Resilience (R2R) is a zero cost program offered by the Hua Momona Foundation helping Maui families set up home rain-catchment systems designed to conserve water and support backyard food production.

The Rain to Resilience (R2R) Program consists of 2 online sessions, a hands-on workshop, and a pickup day.

  1. Online Kickoff — Online class covering the program overview, water resilience basics, and an introduction to growing sweet potatoes.
  2. Online Essentials Session — Online class covering rain barrel setup, irrigation planning, and sweet potato growing essentials.
  3. In Person Irrigation Kit Build — A hands-on workshop building your own irrigation kit that you take home.
  4. Pickup Day — Pick up your rain barrel, stand materials, compost, and growing resources.
